We will meet at a century-old railway station in São Bento, and take the train from Porto to Régua, the capital of the Douro Valley region. We will travel along one of the most beautiful routes in the world. We will enjoy a tasting brunch. We will visit the elevated viewpoint of Casal de Loivos, for one of the most interesting views of the Douro Valley, which has UNESCO and BBC classification. Then we will have lunch in my family's wine cellar. We will visit and taste wine at family wineries, and you'll learn the traditional winemaking process. We'll go to a village with a bakery, and visit their Wine and Bread Museum. There will be more wine tasting in the village cellar, and you'll see the industrial process of making wine. Finally, I'll take you back to Porto City.

In between mountains and valleys we cross typical villages that lead us to travel in time.

 This tour will start by visiting Coimbra, the city of students, in which lies the oldest university in Portugal and other monuments and historical treasures. After unraveling the beauty of Coimbra, we will continue our pilgrimage bound to Fatima, one of the most esteemed religious centers in the world and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Portugal.

Every year thousands of pilgrims and tourists visit the Sanctuary of Fatima, especially during the days of pilgrimage on 13th of May and 13th of October. On arrival at our destination we will visit the imposing neoclassical basilica that stands at the Shrine of Fatima and the Chapel of the Apparitions.

In this 10h tour from Porto we invite you to visit the magnificent Douro Valley, while touring 3 of the best wineries of the region with a small group. Taste and learn about the different styles of Port and DOC Douro wines, by sampling each one in company of an expert wine tour guide that will be explaing you all step by step.

Let yourself be amazed with the stunning river view of the restaurant by lunch time, while you keep trying local wine with traditional flavours from the region. Before coming back to Porto there will be a photo stop in Pinhão by the 19th century railway station, decorated with 24 panels of tiles from 1937, representing images of Douro Valley and it's traditions. After this wonderful experience of wine, landscape and culture you wil be conduced back to your hotel in Porto, where you can expect to arrive by 6h30 pm.

Enjoy a full day tour in the region of Douro, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Stop in the small villages of the Douro Region during the tour, and learn about the history, culture and people that live in this region. Lunch included in a small, local restaurant, as well as a visit to two Portuguese Port Wine and Wine producer (winery, cellars and vineyards) with tastings.

Porto City Tour, a private visit to the city, by the historic center, the little streets, 90 minutes and you will be a PRO of our beautiful city. Lunch in a Typical restaurant, where you can taste a typical meal. After the lunch we go back to the downtown where we make the drop off where you want.

Glimpse the seaside city of Aveiro, traditionally known for the production of tiles and ceramic as well as for it's economical activities related with the ocean, such as fishing, salt production and ship construction. Visit the beach area to find the famous coloured stripped houses and the biggest Portuguese lighthouse. Follow to the city center to appreciate the fish market, enjoying a river cruise on a Moliceiro (typical local boat) and taste the Ovos Moles (traditional sweets). Continue next to Coimbra, an hystorical city, where lunch takes place. Let yourself be conduced on a walking tour through the old town while you learn about the Portuguese history. At last but not least pay a visit to the University of Coimbra, the first in Portugal, dated from the 16th century.

Spend a full day visiting Braga, one of the most traditional cities, and one of the most beautiful areas in all of Portugal, the Peneda-Geres National Park. Listed as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and the only national park in the country, this picturesque natural area is home to waterfalls, ponds, and a huge mountain. Spend a day exploring the area with a expert guide. Then stop at a local restaurant for a traditional Portuguese meal featuring locally-grown, organic ingredients.

On this full day tour we will visit the Serra da Estrela, a unique region of Portugal. This area is renowned for its serene, natural landscapes as well as its historical and culinary wealth. See Serra da Estrela in all of its splendor!

 

Visit the religious center of Portugal – Fátima - where you can learn more about the phenomenon of the Marian apparitions, which took place for the first time on May 13th, 1917. Visit the Sanctuary, the Basilica and the Apparitions Chapel. In the afternoon visit the magnificent city of Coimbra, where the University area, the Cathedral and the Historic Centre can be visited.
