Feel Sintra, a town where you will fall in love with every detail, and every monument of its magnificient natural setting. You will also experience the glamour of Cascais and Estoril while strolling through their palaces and gardens on the seafront.

The process of collecting molten glass onto a blowpipe, shaping that glass and blowing it into the desired shape or vessel is taught through live demonstrations. By the end of this course, they will know how to create well-formed cylinders out of colored glass.
Shortly after, we will try to enhance their repertoire and learning to make vases. Swedish glassblowing techniques are taught, along with methods for blowing large glass pieces and blocking methods. Also addressed are molten glass control techniques and how to use multiple colors in a single piece. So the next part for you is practice raking, color mixing and body wrapping.
The last part is designed for starting glass blowers who wish to improve their skills. A mixed media glass blowing class combines furnace-based blowing with kiln work. Venetian caning, fusing, casting, hot-sculpting, engraving and painting techniques are integrated into high-level glass blower courses.

Do like the locals do and escape the city for a day, venturing west to the historic Belém district and then to Cascais, the local's favourite seaside playground. Combining art, history, beaches and some of the most delicious food in Lisbon, there's nothing not to love about this experience! Take the tram to Belém, a beautiful area in the south west of the city which pays homage to Portugal's Age of Discovery and is where you can taste the original Pastéis de Belém. Refuelled by these delicious sweet treats, spend the rest of the day like the Lisboetas do when they head to Cascais for the cooling Atlantic breezes, sandy beaches, great surf, eclectic art and delicious seafood!

This is the site of Lisbon’s earliest places of worship, the heart of Rome’s occupation, the centre of the Moorish city and its Christian reconquest, and one of the few areas to survive the earthquake of 1755.
