Discover the long history of the Jewish people in Tomar from your guide as you walk through the Old Jewry. Visit the most ancient and the only proto-Renaissance Hebrew Temple in our country, and the Luso-Hebrew Museum Abrãao Zacuto. Built between 1430 and 1460 by order of Infante D. Henrique, the synagogue from Tomar shows the importance that the Jewish community had in the city since the 14th century, firstly in service of the Order of the Temple, and then for the Order of Christ.
Our visit continues to the Castle and Convent of the Knights Templar, a Unesco’s World Heritage Site, has one of the most expressive testimonies to the history of Portuguese architecture, that later became the Order of Christ, construction of which occurred between the 12th and the 17th centuries.

One of the most prestigious farm, who produced wines in the hands of the same family for 4 generations. The farm has undergone modernization over the past few years: vines were re-established based on traditional varieties as well as new varieties to meet market demand. You will know the story of all farm, and walk to the vineyards and to the 19th century gardens. We will visit an old distillery that was in use until 1970. There were produced brandies and grappa. After we will visit a pressing-room with stone and wood manual winepresses dated 1871. This is a real experience, so you will visit an ageing cellar of liquor wines and brandies with 36 barrels, and you will taste 7 different wines.

Obidos is a place of ancient legends and miracles. Enter through the walls of the most romantic village in Portugal and experience some of what it was like to live in medieval times. Next we visit the spellbinding, gothic Monastery of Alcobaça where you will learn of some gripping stories! Nazare is well known for its big wave surfing. But this pretty fishing town also boasts golden sands, cobbled streets and traditional fisherman’s houses. Taste fresh fish specialities such as grilled sardines and caldeirada (fish stew). A perfect spot for a late lunch and to watch the sunset over the ocean!
