Arctic Landscapes is a road-trip in the coastal area of Tromsø. On this tour you'll discover places with breath-taking sceneries, you'll have a chance to take the best photos and get to enjoy home-made food on a picnic in the Arctic. Come and join a ride in the countryside of Tromsø with us!

Enjoy a nice and quiet Snowmobile safari surrounded by the beautiful fjords and mountains of the amazing Lyngen Alps! 

We pick you up in Tromso 8:50 am outside Scandic Ishavshotel and drive you to the Green Gold Villa in the Lyngen Alps by bus and ferry-boat (really nice panoramic drive).

Upon arrival, you get warm overalls, boots, helmets, and short snowmobile training. 

Then we jump on our snowmobiles and drive along fjords and mountains for around 2 hours. 

After snowmobiling, we serve you a warm expedition meal at the base-camp.

Finally we start our panoramic drive (back in Tromso 4 pm).

Visit a reindeer camp outside of Tromsø on this 3.5-hour tour that introduces you to a little Norwegian culture. You'll have a chance to feed a herd of 200 reindeer, take a 5- to 10-minute reindeer sled ride, and then gather inside a Sami tent for a hot meal and to hear stories about Sami culture around the campfire. A guide also performs a traditional song. Select a morning or afternoon departure time when booking.

The location has little artificial light and excellent conditions to look for the Northern Lights. Instead of heading back to the city centre where you might miss a late night dance from the Aurora, stay on in this good location in a traditional Sami lavvu, sleeping on reindeer skins in winter-insulated sleeping bags. The tour involves interaction with reindeer in a paddock and you will try reindeer sledding, the oldest means of transportation in the north.

Love speed and excitement? Join up with your own team of racing huskies to learn dog sledding. You will have your own sled to drive along with a friend, and can switch in the middle of the ride. Dogsledding in the winter night can be a magical experience whether the moon or the green shimmer of Aurora Borealis lights the mountains.

Guided by headlamps and the dog’s nose we safely take you up into the mountains where hopefully the northern lights will dance for us. With a 2:1 guest to guide ratio, everyone will have a sled driven by our professional mushers.

With about one hour of dogsledding you also get to meet our 350 four legged friends up close and spend some time with the puppies. Our trained handlers will explain how we keep the dogs, the difference between a working dog and a pet, all about the Alaskan husky and more. 

After the trip, we gather around the fire and serve our hearty meal of Bidos, prepared with reindeer meat, broth and vegetables to warm you up again (vegetarian meal available on request).
