During this activity, our small team of Aurora guides check the forecasts & use local knowledge to decide on the best place to chase the Northern Lights. When we find the best spot we will dress in warm thermal suits and boots, make a cosy campfire, and enjoy a homemade meal. During your Aurora Hunt activity you'll become a citizen scientist and collect data for our Tundra Restoration Project. You'll be shown how to use your camera, photograph the Aurora, and our guides will take photos of you, which are provided for free in web-sized resolution after the tour.
Relax by the fire with hot chocolate before being returned back to Tromsø island to your hotel. Though there is never a guarantee of seeing this phenomenon, our experienced team of Aurora Hunters will do their best, every night of the season.

Enjoy the Sami experience of reindeer sledding, where you'll enjoy a long sleigh ride (30 mins) pulled by a wild reindeer. Then feed a herd of 300 reindeer at the camp, and gather inside a traditional Sami tent for a hot meal and to listen to stories about Sami culture around the campfire. A Sami guide will also perform a joik, traditional folk song, for you, before return transportation to Tromsø.

In a small group with a max of 15 people we’ll take you to the spots with the clearest sky, take professional pictures and offer help on how to set up your own camera. Photos will be shared with you by email. If you need a tripod we also got it for you!

To keep you warm during the tour we have thermal suits and warm boots. Later on, we're going to enjoy the cozy atmosphere around a bonfire, have sausages, warm drinks and cookies.

You will be driving your own sled and team of dogs in pairs, an experienced guide will lead your tour on the trail (group size is 20 guests maximum)
- Drive your own team of huskies, in pairs you will share control of a dog sled and team of 5-7 Alaskan Huskies

Fancy snowmobiling in one of Lapland's most spectacular regions? If so, this 7-hour daytime or evening snowmobile safari experience from Tromsø will hit the mark. Take a ferry across Norway's fjords to the untouched Lyngen Alps for an exciting snowmobile safari beneath the mountains. Follow winding trails through icy valleys, hills and plateaus, and on the evening safari, enjoy the thrill of riding in the dark, lit only by your snowmobile headlights. Then, catch your breath over some hot soup and drinks before boarding the ferry back to Tromsø.

You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. The tour will bring you past scenic mountains and through the dramatic snow-covered Finn valley, starting at 250m above sea level and slowly climbing in between the majestic mountains. You will be on the snowmobiling track for approximately 2 hours, depending on the weather and snow conditions.

After the snowmobiling, you will visit the Ice Domes where the ice bar, ice cinema, ice suites and ice restaurant have themes ranging from local Sami culture to the Northern Lights conveyed through beautiful coloured lighting and wonderful ice sculptures. At the Ice Domes you will join a guided tour and learn about the construction process of the ice hotel and the impact the snow has for the survival of our arctic animals.
