He will take you back to the 15th century when the first Sephardic jews arrived in Amsterdam from Spain and Portugal, to the 17th century 'Golden Age', when the city was the power center of a vast empire. For centuries the Jewish community flourished and enjoyed relative freedom in 'Mokum'. But the Second World War changed everything.
