This long history is perfectly represented in the spectacular cathedral in the centre of Ortygia.

Starting from the center of Catania one of Etna Experience’s expert guides will lead you to discover the fascinating volcanic phenomena, walking through ancient woods, on eccentric craters and unique lava formations. During the the trekking route you will be able to admire from various points, the summit craters standing in the distance. In the afternoon, you will have the chance to discover the beautiful Alcantara Gorges.

Visit the vibrant local market and the traditional food shops with the Cesarina and immerse yourself in a private cooking class at the Cesarina's home, learn the secrets of the most famous dishes of Catania cuisine and taste the fruit of your labour accompanied by a glass of local wine.

During the lesson the Cesarina will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic Catania recipes. Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Each participant will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes. This entire day tour will allow you to get to the base of the summit craters of the Etna; the ascent to the summit will be performed either by cableway and off-road vehicles (on the South-East side of Etna) or by off-road vehicles only (on the North-East side of Etna). Once at the summit, you will enjoy an easy hike at the base of the summit craters accompanied by our naturalistic expert and a volcanological guide. Afterwards, you will explore the incredible volcanic underground by visiting one of the striking volcanic cave of the Etna, and then, after a lunch based on local typical products, you will visit the amusing Alcantara Gorges.

Private Dinner on boat at the Sunset. This is an exclusive experience organized by our sailing club and includes a boat reserved just for you and a special fish dinner. We departure one hour before the sunset. 

Itinerary: Gulf of Catania, Coast of the Cyclops, see the Etna by the sea, swim (on request) into the deep blue. Laid down on the boat to let you enjoy the vibes of the silence, from the wind and the ocean. 

We will wait for the sunset in front of our cinematic landscape.

After the sunset (around 9.00 pm) we will be back at the port where we serve you a typical sicilian dinner with a bottle of prosecco.
