NYC Walking Tour: Bialystoker Synagogue and Historic Lower East Side

• Learn about the Lower East Side's rich Jewish heritage while supporting landmark conservation in New York CIty.
• Visit and explore two sacred sites only accessible when touring with the LESJC: Bialystoker Synagogue, the largest congregation on the Lower East Side, built as a church, and believed to be a sight on the Underground Railroad, as well and a shtiebl (one-room house of prayer).
• Sample favorite local delicacies including a bialy from the most famous Bialy shop in NYC, a pickle right out of the barrel from the only remaining pickle store on the Lower East Side, and a selection of kosher baked treats.
