Gallipoli Battlefields

 

• The site that we visit on this tour is on the European side,Eceabat.So if you have a hotel on the Asian side,Çanakkale, we should take the ferry first.After the ferry we need to drive 10-15 minutes to get to the battlefields.The battlefields are full of with the remains of the WW1 and covers a huge area.Normally we should spend at least 3 days to visit the all sites.But on this tour,we visit the common routes that the visitors follow.If you want to visit a special memorial or a Cemetery,please let me know in advance.As the battlefields are looking like a countryside we can not find any luxury restaurants,wc and shops.But we can find snacks,water etc.2 million vistors come to the battlefields in a year.I recommend you to come on week days,because of the crowded groups between March and June.In the peak season,sometimes we are stuck on the roads and need to walk 1-2 km from one site other one.In summer time it is 32-33 degrees and really difficult to find shade.
