Here is the issue The Cosby offers a one day or TWO DAY tours. Never Ever book 2 day tour MASSIVE RIPOFF .the first day they left at 8 got to Lucerne and only pick up passengers at a hotel . ABSOLUTELY Nothing ELSE. They then drove to interlaken and arrived by 1030. They said okay bye See you tomorrow. Gave a map and said walk to your hotel in the rain (15 ) Minutes) The hotel was the Argos If you Google this it comes up as zentrum Argos A REHAB FACILITY n community center I think for injury n seniors because most going around in wheelchairs. Then you can't check in till 3. Had to leave luggage in storage facility in the center . Interlaken is really just a lot of watch and chocolate shops gathering to toursts(although one can do cable car up mountain on a clear day -- but why since next day to Jungfrau is a much better trip) In fact on their one day tour they drop you off for an hour to use toilet since nothing else there. The second day the trip to Jungfrau greatFor $500 extra rip off . I do plan to file complaint with the travel agency(trip advisor -viatour and the credit card company) this how bad it was . Why pay $500 + for this . You could do a day trip on the train for $50 and not satay in a community center NOT A TWO DAY TOUR

Amazing tour. Both tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable and seamlessly guided everyone smoothly throughout the entire tour. This was our second time taking the tour and loved every bit of it.

Just great scenic experience. The drive to Interlaken was amazing. Enjoyed exploring Interlaken and the funicular ride to Harder Kulm. The scenery was amazing overlooking Interlaken. The visit to Jungfraujoch is indescribable. The train trip was a great experience and being and experiencing the alps was unbelievable. A tour that I would do again.

The trip was well planned departing at the scheduled times. If you are doing the two day trip I would recommend doing the trip with family. The overnight stay is worth it as it in the mountains but note that it is 3 star accomodation. The tour guides speak English well and are quite knowledgeable about the area.

I chose this tour as I wanted a more relaxed paced tour to see the places advertised. I chose to stay in Grindelwald. Based on what the tour indicated that I was on my own when I got to Grindelwald and that the guide would discuss with me options and activities to do. Well that did not happen but luckily we got provided a book about activities that we could do in Grindelwald. I made the most of that whilst enroute there and when we got to Grindelwald, we were moved to another bus and our guide left us with a non English speaking driver, given some information as to which hotel we were booked in and basically we had to find our way to the hotel on our own.Luckily for me I was booked into Hotel Derby which was directly opposite the train station. The others were not so lucky as they had a bit of a track lugging bags looking for their hotel. There were 2 other people who were totally lost and did not know what to do and I found them later in the evening and basically they ended up just walking around the village. There are many things that you can do but you need to decide very early on as when you get to the place you basically have only a few hours to make the most of it. You will be there by 11.30am and you need to be very organised. Buses leave on the hour so there is very little time if you want to go exploring if you want to use the bus service. For me I had a great time exploring and had a wonderful experience but felt that there was not enough time to really enjoy Grindelwald. The next day the trip to Jungfraujoch was well organised. We had to meet in the "ground" station at 11.00am, where you can either pay for a train ticket or you walk from the village. A new guide with the "day" group joined us for the Jungfraujoch trip. To get to Jungfraujoch, you basically catch a train up to Kleine Scheidegg and then change to another train up to Jungfraujoch. My tip is to sit on the right side of the journey as you will be rewarded with beautiful views down the valley. On the left side you see the mountains. Whilst up on the mountain you have some activities you can do at your own pace. On the downward journey instead of going back to Grindelwald, we go to Lauterbrunnen to catch the bus back to Zurich. My suggestion for you on the downward trip is to sit on the left of the train as you will be rewarded with excellent views. Be ready with your cameras as when you get to Lauterbrunnen, you will see a beautiful church with the waterfall in the background. We don't get to visit the waterfalls but you will get a great picture. Overall an enjoyable 2 day trip. Hotel was comfortable and convenient. My only suggestion is for the guide to be more engaging with you explaining and perhaps advising us what to do rather than leave the decision making entirely to us.

The tour could've been way better. The guide just dropped us off at Grindelwald without any information and just told us to meet them at another train station in the morning. Didn't know where our hotel is, or what we can do in Grindelwald.. so felt a little stupid spending more money on this tour.
Grindelwald is a quaint town.. but the downfall is there are millions of flies everywhere. Its in your food and on you pretty much the whole time. Pretty disgusting.

Jungfraujoch was beautiful but when we got to the top camp, there was no place to sit and everywhere was on the floor like refugees. The food was super expensive and did not taste good.

Overall I will never go back again.

We took the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe: Interlaken or Grindelwald day trip from Zurich (part of our Viking added on excursion) - a bit different from the 2 Day trip, but I'm not sure what could have been added to our day to make it more perfect. The weather was the best - sunny, warm (this was in late April) and the mountains just glistened in reflected sunshine, with clouds just beginning to billow over their peaks. Along the way up, you'll see beautiful scenery as well. We had plenty of time for lunch and browsing shops filled with all things Swiss. Of our 12 day Viking tour along the Rhine and Moselle, we crossed 4 countries (Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg and France). This Alpine journey along a cogwheel trail was one of the two or three best experiences we had (and we're counting ourselves fortunate to have had so many days filled with exploration, walking, sitting in sunshine, and just reflecting on how fortunate we were to have this experience).

Highly dependent on weather and period. I went in November which is a down period in Grindelwald thus no activities to do for a whole day. Jungfraujoch visit was a pity too with really bad weather and zero visibility. The mountainous sight in the area was really great and the saving grace for the trip

Great highlight of our trip away. The Jungfrau was magnificent. Long trip from Zurich for us but worth it. I am so glad we stayed overnight in Grindelwald. It was so beautiful with lots to do. This made the trip. I think the Grindelwald option was better than Interlaken, definitely more scenic. Plus we saw interlaken on the lunch break. Definitely worth it. Plan to go back to Grindelwald in the future.

Terrific trip! We opted for staying overnight at Grindelwald and truly enjoyed the town and the close proximity to hiking trails. Our stop at Interlaken was also enjoyable but dedicating more time enjoying the beautiful scenery outside of Grindelwald was the right choice for us.

I would rate the actual trip up to the Jungfrau with our excellent tour guide as a 5 star experience. The cog-wheel train was wonderful and the view from the top quite breathtaking. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
If I had to do it over, I would not bother staying at the hotel. While quaint, it did not provide shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom which was a problem for me at the end of a 2 week vacation. The included breakfast was a bowl of cold granola and a coffee.

Grindelwald was amazing, the small house up in the hills, the Jungfraujoch view on that day is amazing, our tour guide very friendly and manage to watch all of us, coz we are very big group, amazingly everyone very ontime. the night we spend on Grindelwald is worth it.

The tour staff was very friendly and helpful. The tour guide Karin was very nice and gave very good background on Switzerland. The bus was very comfortable. We stopped at Interlaken and had adequate time to see the main street. The time allowed for sight seeing was adequate. The tour started and ended on time. They had me stay in this beautiful Hotel Derby. The view from my room 412 were incredibly beautiful. They gave decent breakfast. I had to manage coming down from Grindelwald to Grind with my luggage but the bus ride was free. The Jungfrau train ride was included. I could not see much on the top because of the fog/ clouds, better luck next time. I highly recommend this two day tour from Zurich to Jungfraujoch via Grindelwald.

The tour was fantastic. We spent the night in Grindelwald. This is a better choice than Interlaken if you wish to hike. If you want to shop, then go to Interlaken. The trip to Jungfraujoch was surreal. The guides were great and we really enjoyed the tour.

This is an amazing must do tour! It is definitely worth it to stay overnight. We chose Interlaken and it was the cutest little town. There are so many fun activities to do hanging around for the day and exploring more of this beautiful country.

    2015-05-18

You wouldn't sell us a one day tour even though there was space available on the coach both days. Therefore we had to pay for a two day tour to see what others in our group saw on a day trip. Extra cost plus long walks to and from a less than 3-star hotel. Not worth what we paid.
