Join this special Gaudí experience! Learn about modernism and the most famous Catalan architect during a two hours walk. Have your personal hands-on experience in Angelika´s workshop where you will create your own souvenir in Gaudí´s mosaic style.
What is Modernism? Why did it develop? Why does the roof of Casa Batlló look a dragon´s back? Christian will answer these questions during the walk along the famous Gaudí houses and the old town. Discover more buildings from that era in the medieval quarter of Born. Get to know Barcelona’s history and legends while strolling through its labyrinth of little streets.
The walk will lead us to Angelika´s workshop where you will learn the technique named “Trencadís”. This technique - using materials such as shards of glass, ceramics or mirrors - can be found on Gaudí´s work. After a short introduction she will show you the basics, handling of tools and how to create your first masterpiece such as a refrigerator magnet or the top of a box.
