Cardona and Montserrat Full-Day Trip With a Small Group

 

We will start our tour in a comfortable bus with guide on board until reach the Cardona region. At the top of a hill, 585 m high, there is a medieval fortress considered one of the most immportants in Catalonia. First of all we will have the opportunity to explore the salt mines walking through its tunnels at 86m deep. We will continue the tour visiting the medieval castle, built in romanesque and gothic style, to finish later with an exclusive local products brunch. Back to the bus we will continue our way to the Montserrat mountain, where we will visit the basilica of the benedictine monastery, which houses the romanesque carving of the 12th century, la “Moreneta” (the Black Madonna). After the guided tour you will be given some free time to enjoy the fabulous landscape of this outstanding natural place, to visit the audio-visual exhibition and to taste some typical liqueurs. At the fixed time we will take the bus back to the city centre of Barcelona.
