Day Tour to Transfăgărășan and Vidraru Dam

 

The Transfăgărășan is a paved mountain road crossing the southern section of the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. According to TopGear it is the "best road in the world". Join us on a full day tour to see the beauty of the spectacular Făgăraș Mountains and learn how the Transfăgărășan Road was built. Enjoy a brief stop at Bâlea Lake and afterwards we head towards Vidraru Dam an imposing 166 meters high dam. On our way back to Sibiu we'll make a quick stop to visit the Clay Castle and afterwards the next stop will be at Fântânița Haiducului where we will enjoy a traditional Romanian meal, don't worry, the meal is on us!!
