Mocanita and Maramures

 

Ride with us on  Europe’s last industrial forest railway, with the  old Mocanita, a century old  steam locomotive, in some of the  Carpathian’s wildest corners. The journey will also take us to Maramures, probably  Romania’s most archaic and  picturesque region, famous for it’s  wooden culture and  warm, welcoming people. We will get the chance to visit the  fantastic wooden church of Bogdan Voda, dating back to the  18th century and be spoiled with  mouthwatering, homemade dishes.
