Nazaré Giant Waves & Traditions

 

We are going to take a walk along the seafront of the village of Nazaré and whatch the secular traditions like the Dry Fish and the Nazaré old womem with their 7 skirts.

Then we will visit the village center with their narrow streets with sea view. After the village center we make a quick drive to the Sítio da Nazaré, one of the great spots to see great part of the Silver Coast shore.

At the Sítio of Nazaré we will visit the Sanctuary and the Memory Chapel. The São Miguel de Arcanjo Fort is an old fortress who survive to the Napoléon Bonaparte invasions, and where you will see the famous Nazaré Giant Waves.

After the fort we will go the Praia Norte to see where the contest of the Giant Waves is made.
