We will visit the most ancient Thermal Hospital of the World. Inside we are going to have a look to the “Pool of the Queen” where D. Leonor Portuguese Queen and founder of the city took some baths.
We start at the historic center, where a great part of the thermal heritage is concentrated, and we will visit the Thermal Hospital where it stays the Swimming Pool where the Queen bathed.
Next to the Thermal Hospital is the simple but artistically rich Nossa Senhora do Pópulo Church and the green D. Carlos I Park. We will discover the most important phases of the city’s history, from its foundation, to the urban renewal by the hand of king D. João V, to the golden age of the 19th century, during which the Caldas became one of the most important places in Portugal
