Feel the wind through your hair as you fly over Dutch world heritage sites and see the canals, polders, bulb fields, Delta Protection Works and other beautiful places in the Netherlands from a new perspective. Learn how this extraordinary country below sea level was created and continues to exist.

First, you get an overview of how the Netherlands was created: how it was made by people who weren’t deterred by all the water. Using mounds, dikes, windmills and polders, they succeeded in reclaiming land from the sea, creating this extraordinary country below sea level. The high point of This is Holland is The Flight Experience: you feel like you’re really flying. To achieve this, This is Holland uses the latest technology. You’ll be one of 40 people suspended under a huge domed screen, with your hands and feet dangling freely. Your seat will tilt during the eight-minute long film that guides you through a breath taking journey along many beautiful places in our country. Atmospheric effects like wind, mist and smells, makes it feel as though you’re really flying through the air, crossing dikes and braving storms.

This is Holland was given permission by municipalities, nature organizations and UNESCO to film Dutch world heritage sites from the air. Now, This is Holland is making these unique images available to the general public. After the flight you can relax in our Holland lounge, where you can find out more about the sights you’ve flown over. The Netherlands is particularly interesting to experience this way, because from the air you get a good picture of its flat patchwork quilt landscape and of the hard work invested in this unique landscape.

    It was a fun ride similar to those at Disney and Universal in the US. The smells, the mist, everything was well done. Our issue was the delay. I think that because there weren't many people for the booking, they merged 2 together making the first group wait longer than the reservation. But all in all, great fun.

    Worst experience and this is a fraud company. Booked my ticket and flight got cancelled due to covid situation and there is no refund initiated and they are trying avoid the emails and disconnecting calls randomly and dragging things. They are literally cheaters, don't ever book even hotel tickets with them. I have trying for the past 2 years and I call them every 2 weeks and I end up getting no resolution

    Great staff! Informative videos before flight ride. Nice experience if you’re just visiting the city. Very short ferry ride from the train station. Entire experience takes an hour.

    The historical side to it was fascinating and then the Clactual 5D experience is just fantastic. So much knowledge and fun, rammed into less than an hour! I would recommend to everyone!

    Holland has it ! If every country had the same approach. It could save a lot of hours teaching in schools with outdated books and pupils being bored. Best way to learn about a country history in 1 hour, and OMG amazing ! I highly recommend for every age group. Go see for yourself Nathalie

    We arrived a little early however this was not a problem as we were allowed to ‘board’ the earlier flight experience. Learnt a lot about Holland and the Netherlands, with a fun flight included. Definitely recommend

    Our driver Joseph was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable on the tour. We be nice if done during the summer. We did nothing in the Lake region too foggy to see. I would recommend this as a summer tour only.

    This was such a fun experience. There are three parts to the tour with some history and information about the Netherlands, in the first two parts. These are fun by themselves, as the narrator is quite funny. The flying experience is great, and is a good overview of different parts of the Netherlands, with a lot of surprises thrown in. Really recommend this experience.

    The tour is a 3-way experience, first two are background information and stories about the Netherlands dating 100's of years back and until today. Last part is the "Flying Experience ", where you fly over several parts of Holland. Fun and interesting, even if you - as my wife - aren't to happy about flying and the movements. This is no problem, so definitely work a go.

    I loved this. Informative and fun. A good was to learn about Holland and see some iconic sights. Photos- 4 printed images/magnets and a digital download of photos €25 There are lockers in reception (can only take small bags in with you) they were almost all gone- book for an early flight if you are taking luggage. We took the last locker. You need a €1 coin for the locker. Cafe is small and busy so again- plan for this.

    If you have been to California Adventure in Disneyland and rode on Soaring, this ride and attraction is for you. You see Holland in about 10 minutes. The pre-flight presentation is informative. The flight is a 5D type with wind, water sprays and odors. You will need to take the free ferry across Ijmeer to get there. Suggest you get the IAmsterdam card and you can use it for your admission. The card is also good on GVB buses and trains - great way to get around Amsterdam. There is a store in Amsterdam Centraal Station building.

    The 5D flight experience was amazing. My 6 year son loved it. Terrible experience with the 2 films we saw before the 5d flight. The films were in dutch with English subtitles even though the website says the films can be seen in dutch or English. We don’t speak dutch and my son obviously cannot read yet so he was bored to tears. Between the first and second movie we asked if it was possible to see the next one in English but we were told to read the subtitles. We spent 40 euros for the whole experience so we were very disappointed we couldn’t enjoy half of it.

    What an incredible incredible flight experience, never thought the tour would have such a 5D experience and the the build up to the best part , makes it so informative . Loved the every part and understanding Netherlands history in building it’s dams n canals etc, everything came together that when we did the flight experience you knew what every destination we flew over was. It’s breathtaking and so realistic even with scents and weather conditions.

    Nice experience to better know Holland in general. I enjoyed it and recommend it. I am looking forward to seeing the windmills!
