Athens to Meteora In-a-Day Rail Tour

 

Redeem your e-ticket for the 07:20 departure from Athens railway station to Kalambaka and travel on your own. Embark on a scenic train ride through the Greek countryside and admire the beautiful landscapes. At 11:30 you arrive in Kalambaka train station, where our guide will be waiting for you holding a signboard with your name. You will board a comfortable Limo VIP minibus to take you on a tour around the location of Meteora. This tour will give you the chance to see all six monasteries, to visit inside one or two of them and learn about history and myths of secret Meteora that only our local guide knows. At 15:45 the minibus will transfer you back to Kalambaka train station for your trip back to your base. The train departs at 17:15, so you will have about an hour free time to explore the center of Kalambaka on foot or to relax overlooking Meteora, in one of the many cafes or restaurants of the town. You will arrive in Athens at around 21:25.
