Become part of the Crew and try different Kölsch brands and learn why we love Kölsch so much! We spontaneously adapt every single tour to the group, so we can truly say: Our Cologne - Your tour!
On our brewhouse tour in Cologne's old town, our guides will bring you to four traditional brewhouses. In each brewhouse you will have the possibilty to try a different Kölsch and our entertaining guide will tell you everything you need to know about Kölsch, Cologne and the local mentality.
Why are the tours offered without included drinks?
In all the brewhouses, we pay the same price as everyone else. Including drinks would cause us administrative costs, we'd have to add to the tour price. Compared to the old option with 4 beers included, you can enjoy one more beer for the same price.
Please make sure, you have enough cash with you. Expect around €2 per beer.

The tour guide promised us four Kolsch and we got four Kolsch. However, the process in obtaining these seemed really disorganized. The tour doesn't have any reservations at the brewhouses so it's all luck on which ones you can get into. The first one we stopped at was too crowded. There was a bar next door where we were able to order and be served outside. Our guide explained to us the process of ordering at a brewhouse--disappointing that we didn't exactly get to see this play out on the tour as you really have to be served at least two Kolsch at one brewhouse to get the full effect. Anyways, the next two brewhouses wouldn't take our group. Our tour guide replaced these with two others where we went and sat inside and drank. The last was also too crowded for us to go in but they served us outside. Personally, I'd prefer to just hit a couple brewhouses on my own to try the different Kolsch but get the full experience in each brewhouse. -

A fun tour of Kölsch beer through Cologne. This was our first trip to Cologne (Köln) and we’re glad we took the tour. The beer culture there is different from other cities in Germany, without the tour, we would’ve felt a little lost. We visited 4 different beer houses all within a close walk of each other. We also learned some stories about cologne and carnival. It was worthwhile and I’d recommend. Don’t forget to bring euro cash for the beers. -

We really enjoyed this tour with Zoe, the tour was 2 hours and we got a lot in the time. We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Cologne for sure. -

This is a great way to experience the heartbeat of Cologne at night. Our guide, Chris, was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Even when the pubs were packed he negotiated seats for us at every one. We will miss the kolsch beer when back in the U.S. Our only suggestion is that a different meeting spot be chosen. The kiosk was in a very busy/questionable area which made connecting with our guide an issue for us. -

100% recommended. We spent half a day in Cologne and really were not having a fantastic time. Food was hit and miss and service seemed a bit standoffish. We had a bit of a nap and then went on this tour and it completely transformed our view of the city. The guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We visited four brew houses and she shared a huge amount of information about the history and architecture of the city gave us a great understanding of the people. We went to fantastic venues off the beaten track and she pointed out excellent restaurant suggestions we never have found otherwise. We ate in the last venue after the beer tasting finished and ordered food on her recommendations and it was absolutely outstanding. We also saw a completely different side of the staff, extremely friendly and accommodating, we just needed help in understanding the local culture from our guide. There are quite a few unwritten rules in going out for dinner or drinks and she helped us navigate them beautifully. We are so grateful we did this tour on our first day as it transformed the rest of our holiday. -

The group was just three people so it was sort of a private tour. Nevertheless Zoe took all the time in the world to show us around and tell us all about the different Brauhauses we visited. And because the group was small there was time to talk about other things as well. It was really relaxed and we enjoyed it. -

We don't understand what we paid €19,- for, for this tour! We were too late, so the guide left which is okay, but he didn't take the effort to contact us, eventhough we already paid and when we finally found them it turned out he had our contact information. The description of the tour on TripAdvisor made us think that there would be four beers included: "you will visit four breweries with a guide and enjoy a glass of Kölsch at each one" but it was not. Only after we made the booking and paid for it, it told us we had to pay for the beers. False advertising! The information given to us by the guide is super minimal. It was more of a friendly gathering than a guided tour. Not worth the money, because we can find breweries on our own as well. -

This was an amazing experience. Ross our tour guide gave a rich and indepth look at Cologne providing linking history with modern look of the city. He additionally helped us break the ice with the group, book tables and made the overall process super fun. Ross also stayed after the tour time to answer questions and give recommendations around the city. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone with 3 hrs of time in Cologne. It was really fantastic. Thanks a lot! -

It's unimaginable to go to Köln and not try Kölsch, and unless your German is near-fluent and you've read about the specific beer culture there, take this tour. Even if you check those boxes, you should probably take it. -

Michael was a great guide with tons of information and funny stories. The walking is minimal, so don’t worry about the weather or stumbling around after you’ve had a few. A great way to spend a couple hours if you’re in Cologne and like beer!
