Definitely worth extra to have a lovely breakfast before seeing the Palace and grounds. Enjoyed tasty pastries and full breakfast with fresh orange juice and hreat tea selection. Then skipped the long line to our self-guided tour. We explored the entire Palace and the Tranons. Even included access to the stables. Definitely worth the time and money.

This is a hidden gem - you truly do skip the LONG, LONG lines. You enter the palace to left of the main entrance to go the restaurant. We were served a basic breakfast of eggs, sausage, pastry basket and juice and coffee. Nothing extraordinary, but tasty. After breakfast you go back down to the restaurant lobby where an attendant lets you into the palace to begin your tour. Worth every penny !!

Mom and I had a WONDERFUL time at Ore Restaurant. The breakfast was amazing, everything tasted great! And I bought a bottle of acacia honey to take home with me because of the breakfast here! You will not be disappointed by the menu!
The day at Versailles was great. Totally shell out the $8 for the tram that takes you around to the Trianons. The walk is gorgeous, but LONG, and you'll be doing plenty of walking around inside each of the attractions! The audio guide was great, mom and I really enjoyed the commentary.

Amazing place. Brings history alive. Although it was October the Sun was shining and dry. The grounds were still looking good.

Breakfast at Ore Restaurant was superb—the menu provided for this tour was excellent and the wait staff attentive and very professional and the food and presentation were also excellent. We walked to to the ground floor of the Ore and took an elevator up to the restaurant. After a leisurely breakfast, we simply took the same elevator down and entered Versailles. The staff scanned our voucher and we were in. This was truly worth the cost and we would certainly do this again. We had been to our yours previously with a different tour group. While it was very good, we did have to stand in line at the main entrance.

This was really great value, it was better than we expected with a full breakfast in a really beautiful restaurant overlooking Versailles and then straight to the front of the line when we were ready. It was such a lovely way to start the day. Highly recommended!

We had a great time the Versailles! You have to do the breakfast and skip the line. We got there early, before 9a and the line was already very long!!. I asked around and found out that the line for the Ore restaurant is to the left of the line, on the side of the building. It is not really labeled, but I am glad I asked because I was literally the 1st person on line for the breakfast. My reservation was at 930a but they let us go in and we were the 1st people in the restaurant. The breakfast was perfect: coffee, tea or hot chocolate, orange juice, eggs, sausage, croissants, baguettes etc. Very good and more than enough food. Once we were done we let them know that we had a voucher and we were sent back down to the 1st floor where we were checked in and escorted through this gold door where we cut right in front of the line, which was great. It is so helpful to get in early because these rooms get soooooooooooo crowded and they go in order, so you just have to keep moving forward with the crowd. Thankfully, since we were early, we got to see most of the rooms, fairly empty. The Hall of Mirrors and other rooms were fantastic. The gardens are just unbelievable. We had a great time and are so happy we got in early! When we left, around 11:30a, the line was MASSIVE!!!!!!! The train station is a short walk and easy to find. Wonderful day! Oh, lots of walking and uneven cobblestone leading to the palace, definitely wear sneakers and very windy outside!!!!

We thought we'd brave a line up.. for about two seconds.... We arrived before opening and still ended at the back of a long line to nowhere. So we changed tac bought a skip the line and came back in the afternoon and walked straight in...
We were there for 5 hours, got a good sample of the museum. It's hard to get around and the maps are all but useless as anything more than a list of stuff to look at. But the staff are helpful and you can get around eventually.
We lines up for the Mona Lisa, which being bfrom part of Australia where a long line is a 10 minute wait was an experience in itself. The picture itself is good but for us it was the experience of the line etc that made it. Helped to have another couple of Aussies to make light of it with.
Napoleon's apartments and the atrium with the statue's were a highlight for me.
So in short worth the trip but definitely want to get a skip the line and get there early.

My friend and I were actually shocked at how short the line was to get in the restaurant for breakfast. Then afterwards, we were escorted to a door and got in a very short line and we were in!!
Best money ever spent!! -

It took several minutes to walk past the throngs of people waiting to buy tickets or get inside Versaille, at 9:30 AM on a busy August morning. Seriously, hundreds of people on a very lengthy line that was not moving quickly. Stay to the left and go past them all and into the lovely restaurant, where you can sit and have a very nice breakfast, then get ushered down a special door that puts you right at the front of the line, its brilliant. Completely worth it, even without the breakfast, which was quite nice. Do it, especially if it is a busy season. You will not regret it.

Great breakfast! Relaxing! I'd highly recommend it to anyone as my uncle and aunt recommended it to us. Would definitely do it again to avoid the huge line.

The Palace and Gardens need no introduction/compliment but Restaurant Ore definitely needs to be highlighted. Not withstanding there great breakfast it also gets you " skip the line " which is essential at Versailles!

My husband and I decided to do this experience as it was only a little more extra than the skip the line entrance fee and included breakfast. I had read some of the reviews before we went. They said not to worry about the giant lines and to head to the left side of the castle. They were right about the lines... they were insane. I almost didn't trust the reviews. But we walked to the left hand wing and walked in. There was a welcome desk and gold elevator doors. They had us take the elevator up and the entrance was on the next floor. The food was great... a typical breakfast... nothing mind blowing, but good. Once we were done we went back down to the reception desk and they let us in a side door to skip the line. Totally worth it as the lines were extremely long. The audio tour is included and you can go at your own pace. We went on a Saturday in the summer... so it was quite crowded. In the future I would totally do this experience again, but maybe during the week. An added bonus is that the grounds are huge... so eating before your tour is wise. (Be sure to pack snacks or an additional small meal in your backpack... we split some bread and nutella with fruit on the grounds later that day and were able to get back to Paris in time for dinner).

Very friendly staff and a good breakfast but with the temperature in the high 30’s going straight in rather than queuing for ever was brilliant! We would do it again if we came back.

As soon as we arrived at Versailles the staff were kind enough to direct us to the appropriate entrance for the ore restaurant. We didn’t have to wait in line. We were instructed to go up to the restaurant where we had a great delicious breakfast and the staff was courteous and attentive to our needs. The overall tour of Versailles was overwhelming in the sense that there was so much to view and thanks to the help of the audio devices we were able to appreciate the various exhibits. There were so many people that it was difficult to take pictures of certain exhibits. But overall it was an excellent experience.

This was a perfect way to visit Versailles. We were admitted right into the restaurant, enjoyed a nice breakfast and then went straight away into the palace.

We have wonderful experience thanks to this particular option of skipping the line (the line to get to Chateau was huge and waiting with two children wuld ruin the whole trip!). The breakfast was very good, the place is very nice being inside Chateau. We were running late because of traffic problem, gave a call to the staff at the restaurant and was reassured that everything would be OK. It was more than OK it was just wonderful. Thank you for giving such a great option to start our day at Versailles.

Breakfast was fantastic - the patisserie basket was absolutely sublime. It was an extremely civilized way to see Versailles - relaxing, sumptuous breakfast followed by immediate entrance to the site. A life saver when travelling with children. Highly highly recommend.
