Itinerariu
Day 1: Around Cairo (L)
Your Egyptologist guide will meet you at your Cairo or Giza hotel at 8am in an air-conditioned vehicle, then drive you to the UNESCO-listed Giza Pyramids. Admire the three vast pyramids of the kings and the several smaller pyramids that were tombs of the queens: if you'd like to climb inside the Great Pyramid or see King Khufu's solar boat, your guide can arrange this for an additional charge. Stroll out into the sands and scramble aboard a camel for a 25-minute ride on the famous 'ship of the desert', before discovering the Valley Temple and the iconic Sphinx. You'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with a view of the pyramids. Next, you'll drive to Saqqara, to see the Pyramid of Djoser, probably Egypt's oldest pyramid, enter the pyramid of Teti to see the pyramid texts, and admire the stunning reliefs in the tombs of the nobles. You'll finish the day with a look at the remains of Egypt's ancient capital Memphis, returning to your hotel around 4 or 5pm.
Day 2: Cairo (L)
After an 8am pickup, your day begins with a private tour of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, home to one of the world's largest collections of ancient Egyptian artefacts. Marvel at the treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his golden death mask, rich jewelry, and even his sandals! You can choose to view the mummies of long-lost pharaohs, including Ramses II, for an extra charge. After lunch in a local restaurant, it's time for a whirlwind tour of UNESCO-listed Old Cairo. You'll visit the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque, the Coptic Christian Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, before haggling for souvenirs at the famous Khan al-Khalili bazaar. You'll return to your hotel around 4 or 5pm.

Our tour guide, Manar Atwa, guided our group of 12 American Tourist on the 2-Day Ancient Egypt and old Cairo highlight tour. Her English was impeccable and she made history come alive in her presentations. I really enjoyed listening to her and she took the time to explain the dynamics in why historical events occurred. You can tell she really enjoys teaching and presenting historical events in a really enjoyable manner. She has a great personality and people skills to be a guide. When booking the tour, I had reservations that the tour would be enjoyable. I was concerned that the tour guide would be robotic in exposing things and not be engaged in a positive manner. Manar did an incredible job in providing interesting information to hold us capitative in listening to her. She anticipated our comfort needs and made sure everyone had an enjoyable time. Without any reservations, I highly recommend having Manar as your tour guide. I believe the company aviator is a top notice tour company for the driver was very professional and the tour bus was clean and very comfortable. I don’t really see any downsides to using this organization. If you do book with Viator for the 2-day sightseeing tour in Cairo, do yourself a favor and ask to have Manar Atwa as your tour guide. You will not be disappointed.

WARNING!! do not attempt to tour Egypt, especially Cairo without a guide. I cannot praise our guide, Bassan, enough. All tour guides are university educated and licenced, and are a vital and valued part of the Egyptian tourist industry. Bassan was enthusiastic, friendly , and a mine of information. Be ready to confront a city of 25 million people....and nearly as many cars. A holiday of a lifetime, Thanks Viator!

Manar was great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and hierglyphics. She was efficient in getting us in and out of sites with lines. She helped us bargain and tip appropriately. I would highly recommend her to anyone. This 2 day tour hits all of the main sites. I was even able to add a couple of sites that I was interested in seeing along the way. She was flexible since we moved well through the sites.

We had a great time. Yasser was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and fluent in English.
On the first day Yasser collected us on time at our hotel, introduced us to the mini-bus our driver, Hassan, and briefed us the day ahead. He explained that because of overcast weather in the morning we should reverse the routine of the day and visit Saqqara first. This worked out well as there were few people at Saqqara, and no queues. In fact we had the Red Pyramid completely to ourselves. Yasser maintained an ongoing informative commentary through most of the driving, and fully answered questions as they arose.
After a good lunch Yasser took us to the Pyramids at Giza. We frequently stopped for information and photo breaks, and of course the obligatory camel ride, We saw everything as planned, and the afternoon visit was indeed better for photos. We finished the sightseeing part of the day, and were driven back to our hotel, where Yasser told us about the plan for the next day - Old Cairo.Again we were picked up on schedule, and we visited all the sites as planned. Yasser guided us where he needed to, and when we wanted to do our own thing in the bazaar he stayed close by. We spent just the right time at each site, without feeing that we were skimping, or cramming. Another great day, and we were very pleased with the 2 day package.
Of final note Hassan was a hugely professional driver in the chaos of the city's roads.

This was fantastic value for money. Our guide, Khalid ??, was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and had a good sense of humour. We saw all the key tourist areas with plenty of time at each one. The only 'down' side was the constant haggling by hawkers, especially around the pyramids and the camel rides. We found the Bedouin camel operators to be quite aggressive in trying to get the maximum tip possible. This tour is highly recommended.

We enjoyed this tour so much. The company was really flexible and let us add the pyramid night show at our convenience. Really worth it!
Our tour guide, Manar, was incredible! She is just a sweet and joyful person who knows her element very well all her explanations of the sites were really complete, told stories of her culture and made a good interactive tour. She also gave us advice on how to handle street vendors and how much to tip. She was our photographer as well and took great care of us in general.
I will also recognize the great job of our drivers, they drove for long time and always manage to get great parking spaces and fast exits on crowded sites. -

We only have 3 days in Egypt so I booked this tour and it's really amazing and worth it. The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Pyramids and the camel ride. Visit to Cairo museum is great as well. Our tour guide Zenab is very kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend her and this tour to all my friends. She's even giving us important advice in dealing with Egyptians during our tour. Like how much tips we need to give in the camel ride, and how to avoid vendors who keeps bugging you to buy their products. Keep up the good work Zenab!!
