Wachau hike for small group (day trip, 3 hrs walking time)

 

This panoramic hike leads us along the famous world heritage trail in the Wachau region, Lower Austria. We will start in Weißenkirchen, a beautiful little village, and hike all the way to adorable Spitz, where we will visit a traditional wine tavern (Heuriger).

Highlights of this varied hike are: breathtaking panoramic views over the Danube, the vine growing villages Weißenkirchen and Spitz, vineyards, stone terraces, oak forests, bizarre rock formations, rare dry grasslands – in short, an overview of the beautiful and protected landscape of the Wachau region (Unesco World Heritage).
