Wachau for Adventurers

 

Before we start our hike in the surrounding hills, we visit the famous medieval town of Duernstein. The hiking trail is considered one of the most beautiful in the whole Wachau region and offers fantastic views over the valley. The unique landscape has an almost Mediterranean touch with its holm oak forests. As well, we will visit the striking and well-preserved castle ruins of Duernstein before ending the day in one of the local wine taverns (optional).
