Salzburg is not only a beautiful baroque city center with a medieval castle, it is also the city with the oldest restaurants in the world and a centuries-old beer tradition. During our walk through the city, we will stop at two of the city's old beer houses. One place has been producing beer for more than 500 years, the second establishment produces the same beer as the famous Munich beer hall.
Through the narrow lanes and broad squares of this baroque city have taken their deserved place on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
We'll take a walk to Fortress Hohensalzburg, high above the Baroque towers of the city. The castle remains a visible landmark to this day and is a specific feature of Salzburg’s world-famous skyline. From afar, the mighty walls reveal the history visitors experience first-hand within these sturdy defences.
