Well organized (local tour guide rep was at the meeting point on time), comfortable bus ride into Bratislava. Pleasant local tour guide that gave a detailed walking tour for 2 hours. Great option for the return by ferry. However, consider giving the choice (even at additional cost) to take an earlier ferry.

Things were a bit shaky at first as our bus driver didn't show up, but they soon got a replacement and we made an uneventful trip to Bratislava. We were split up into 2 groups of 14 and our guide did a very nice job of taking us to all the highlights in Old Town over a 2 hour period and explaining things. We then had free time. You need to do your homework before you go so you know how you want to spend the next 5-6 hours! We took a ride on the Golden Express (train on wheels near where the tour ends) and it took us around Old Town and up to the castle on the hill. We had about 20 minutes to walk up around the castle or out onto a nearby overlook - it was nice, but not really enough time to do do an in depth walk around the castle. Afterwards we ate lunch, then spent the rest of the afternoon geocaching and walked around quite a lot doing that. If you are able to walk a bit, make sure to visit the Blue Church - it is beautiful. The boat ride back wasn't until 6:30 but we felt that was about an hour too late as we had extra time on our hands. But maybe that was just us. The boat ride was really great, very smooth and offered a few views of ancient castles and ruins along the shore. It took about 75-90 minutes to get back to Vienna. We had a very nice day.

Our local guide, Maximilian, was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor, which made our walking tour very pleasant. He knew where to find vegan/vegetarian eateries. Bratislava is quite charming. Unlike the other regional day trips, you will have 6 hours of free time. They will go by fast if you have a plan. Spend about 2 hours at the Castle (15 min walk/History of the Slovaks/Celtic exhibit/Great views from its tower), 1h at the City Museum (theTorture Chamber is a must, great views from tower), and walk to the Blue Church. Plenty of time to have lunch at a traditional restaurant, roam around and shop. The boat ride is pleasant, passing a national park and small towns. Bratislava exceeded our expectations.

Marvellous tour. The weather was as excellent as Eva our tour guide, full of knowledge and history facts. Time alone in the town after the drop by bus from Viena was enough to relax having some lunch, do some shopping and a relax with a cold bear given the plus 28 degrees we had. Trip back in the catamaran was a nice add. Recomended a 100

We started the day by being picked up at the City Opera house bus bus and transported to Bratislava from there a guide gave us a short walking tour. Everyone was offered a bus tour for an additional 9 euros. That was well worth the money. After we had several hours to sightsee and have lunch. Then we to the boat ride back to Vienna maybe the most fun. We were dropped off near the city center close to a U Bahn station.

I won't repeat the praise of others regarding this quaint town and the high quality walking tour (2-2 1/2 hours) that it provides. I think it is a place many should visit, but to really appreciate it, people should plan ahead to decide what attractions they might want to see or do during the day, since you are given a huge amount of time on your own. (The local guide provides a map upon arrival.) The walking tour ended in time for lunch and then you hav the choice of going back by bus to Vienna at 2 pm. or waiting until 4 pm for the boat ride. I thought we might be given the chance to choose once we got to Bratislava, but were never offered the choice. I guess you can only do that when you book the tour. Overall, a pleasant day in a quaint city, but one that doesn't quite occupy one's time for a full day.

This was a fantastic day out to Bratislava. We had no idea what to expect from this trip, but as with other trips my wife and I have taken with viator this was well organized with excellent guides who spoke English well and knew the history.
We did have a problem with our return transport back to Vienna by boat, but the ladies at the dock handle the problem very well and looked after us to make sure we arrived back in Vienna safely.
The weather was excellent as where the local people, has made my wife and i wanting to go back and stay. -

A worthwhile day trip from Vienna. Since it was December, we took the bus roundtrip. The visit was informative and low key, in that we had free time to explore on our own, visit some of the shops and have lunch at a local place. An added bonus to visiting Bratislava - food and shopping is noticeably less expensive than in Vienna, Salzburg and Munich.

It was a perfect trip for some one looking to see another capital in just a day. We took the bus from Vienna and returned back by ferry. We had enough time to explore the city and have local lunch. Our guide was a senior lady, well informed and inspiring

A well-coordinated adventure from the heart of Vienna to Bratislava. The tour of Bratislava was enjoyable and left time for a trip to the castle before a relaxing boat ride on the Danube back to Vienna.

Excellent, our tour guide Magdelena was great. Only about an hours trip by bus. After our tour through the streets, our guide telling us about the city and local information. She then left us to either visit the castle,or go for lunch. We headed for the xmas market and had some modivina wine to heat us up as it was very cold. We also tried some local food as well. We watched the children singing songs and bought some presents from the many christmas stalls. Was an excellent day out.

This tour was excellent. Magda, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and very caring and aware of her audience. Bratislava is beautiful and has so many interesting buildings and history in such a small space in the historic town. The cruise back to Vienna was also lovely. I highly recommend this tour.
