Discover the Belvedere Palace in Vienna - one of Europe’s most stunning Baroque landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The two Belvedere palaces (Upper and Lower Belvedere) were built in the early eighteenth century by the famous Baroque architect Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt to be used as the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Today they houses the greatest collection of Austrian art dating from the Middle Ages to the present day, as well as the work of international artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Max Beckmann.

The Upper Belvedere houses the permanent displays. Highlight is the collection of paintings by Klimt with the iconic Kiss.and works by Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka.

The Lower Belvedere is home to the temporary exhibitions. Admire its two-storey Marble Hall, the Marble Gallery as well as the Hall of Grotesques.
